Frequently Asked Questions
Here are the answers to our most frequently asked questions:
Is there any alternative to delivery?
Yes, you can choose Midnight Monsters Warehouse Pickup and send an email or message on our other platforms (Instagram, Facebook) to confirm your pickup time, including your full name and invoice number in the message. At the moment, our only pickup center is in Sherbrooke.
I can't light my Midnight Monsters candle or it won't stay lit, what should I do?
The first thing to check is the length of the wick. The ideal wick should be 1/4 inch. It is important to trim the wick before each use and make sure it is neither too long nor too short. Be careful not to cut it too short, as this could make lighting difficult.
It is also important not to blow out the candle too quickly. To ensure the quality of each ignition and the life of the candle, it is important to wait until the melted wax pool touches the edge of the container, otherwise a tunnel will form overtime and the candle won't last as long.
How do I clean the container of our Midnight Monsters candles for reuse or refills?
The most effective method is to place the container in a "bain-marie" in a small pot or pan. Be careful to handle with kitchen tongs so as not to burn yourself with the water from the "bain-marie". The water will melt the left over wax that you can put in the trash on a paper towel. Then, go to the sink and wash the container with hot water and dish soap. If the wick is a crackling wick with a metal wick clip at the bottom, make sure to keep it if you want a refill for your candle. Keeping the wick clip isn't an obligation but it's best to keep it to reduce the use of new material when possible.
For an extra clean container, dry the container and then soak a cloth in rubbing alcohol and wipe it over the container. This last step will remove any small wax residue.
